Coming Back Home to Yourself : Ireland Wellness Retreat 13-16th August 2026

Are you ready to journey within?

Nestled deep within the emerald embrace of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, Ireland, our home for 4 days/3 nights offers a handcrafted sanctuary designed for total restoration. This is more than a short getaway from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives; it is a space to shed the weight of the everyday and reconnect with your truest self amidst the 'Garden of Ireland'. We spend so much of our lives looking outward, navigating the noise of the world that asks us to be everything but ourselves. In this we have forgotten a fundamental truth, we do not go into nature, we are nature. This retreat is an invitation to strip away the layers of 'doing' and return to the simplicity of 'being'.

The practice of coming home to ourselves is not about "fixing" who we are. It is about allowing the obstacles to who we have always been to fall away, meeting ourselves where we are at in the present moment and greeting ourselves with unconditional love, kindness and non judgement. This wellness journey will provide the furnace and the fire for transformation whether you are seeking a life changing spiritual practice or simply a quiet space to slow down and reconnect. The Woodcutters Cottage provides the sacred space you deserve.

Stop searching. Start remembering!

The mountains are calling, not to a place away from your life, to the very heart of it. Come home to the wild, quiet and beautiful truth of yourself and immerse yourself in a wellness retreat with six sessions of yoga integrating Dynamic, Deep Stretch, Chakra Rebalancing, Anahata Agni Hotra, Breathwork and Chanting, complemented with tools from diverse healing arts including Nervous System Rebalancing, Emotional Freedom Technique, Thai Yoga massage and many more.... ALL LEVELS WELCOME and anyone willing to come along and give it a go!

Accommodation

Set in the heart of the Wicklow National Park, Woodcutters Cottage offers unique accomodation, it has been intentionally chosen as a rustic setting to escape the 'hustle and bustle' and return to our roots.

The accommodation is based on shared, comfortable living, a set up inspired by ancestral communities in Ireland that lived, healed and grew together.

By sharing spaces, we break down the barriers of modern isolation allowing for a much deeper healing experience. This allows us to develop a more authentic expression, moving and being in a space while holding a deep respect for each other's needs, balancing the desire for connection and the sacredness of quiet and privacy. This facilitates building a foundation of trust in ourselves and our relationships, actively increasing our capacity for kindness, respect and non judgement. In this, we create a sacred container where laughter, stories and connection can flourish naturally.

The cottage has six spacious bedrooms and 5 bathrooms with soundproof parquet floors, providing a quiet haven for restful sleep. This is complimented by a sun drenched balcony, terrace, panoramic mountain views and garden offering perfect spots for outdoor activities or simply relaxing with a cuppa. Each room has underfloor heating to create a warm inviting ambiance throughout your stay.

Woodcutters Cottage is designed for ultimate flexibility.

Activities & Excursions

Set against the ancient, rhythmic silence of the Wicklow mountains, the landscape here provide more than just a backdrop; it provides a mirror. As you walk the Pilgrims Path of St Kevins Way, feel the Earth beneath your feet and the grounding strength of the soil reminding you that your body like the land knows how to hold steadfast and how to yield.

Engage in forest bathing among the towering pines breathing in the quiet exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide and rediscover the physical truth that you and the trees share the same breath.

Embrace the element of water, whether it is a wild dip in the nearby river, immersing yourself in a hot or cold tub or a moment of stillness by the lake; let the the water be a reminder of our own fluidity and the natural flow of our emotions.

Gather around the wood burning fire inside or outside, calling back and seeing the fire as a catalyst for remembrance and a return to the ancestral spark within you. Reclaim rest not as a luxury, instead as a biological necessity and enjoy rest as a ritual of coming hone to yourselves in the sun drenched rooms or quiet corners of Woodcutters Cottage and land. When we soften, this is the place we hear the whispers of our own intuition that the city and hustle and bustle of our lives usually drowns out.

This year 2026 marks the arrival of the Fire Horse, a potent energy of momentum, courage and unbridled spirit. This is a year that moves, ignites and refuses stagnation and is guiding us to break free from constraints that no longer serve us. In alignment with the Fire Horse energy, I invite you to harness this energy through a deep rhythmic connection with the land and to take the opportunity to go horseback riding, a short way from the cottage as part of our retreat experience. Horses are symbols of freedom and wisdom, connecting with them supports us by reminding us to " hold the reigns of our own lives" so to speak. Enjoy guided walks through the dramatic and unspoilt scenery of Wicklow, riding across rust coloured bogs and hidden valleys. Whether you are a beginner or experienced rider these gentle animals serve as companions in being present and will help ground our inner fires. Moving through this landscape on horseback mirrors the internal shift asked of us this year from stagnation to purposeful action. This is an optional activity.

Review

There aren't enough words to truly capture the magic of the weekend retreat we had with Geraldine. It was spiritual, filled with love, gratitude, and laughter—just a few of the emotions that come to mind. From the moment we walked through the gates of the retreat centre, you could feel the love and energy that enveloped the space. Strangers when we arrived, we left as friends. I've never experienced such genuine joy and love from others. Geraldine's boundless energy and love radiated throughout the entire weekend, leaving a lasting impact. It was an unforgettable experience that I often reflect on and will carry with me forever. #IAmLove
